Jean Huitsing

Jean L. Huitsing, age 87, of Jenison, passed away Sunday morning, September 27, 2020. She was born in 1933 and is survived by her husband Gerrit, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ken; and her sister, Nikki. She had a large extended family of stepchildren, step grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Jean was an inspiration to all who knew her. She enjoyed her family and especially the little ones. In her lifetime she travelled to many places and enjoyed God’s wonderful handiwork. Jean lived a long fruitful life and will be truly missed. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 12-1 pm prior to the service at church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020, 1 pm at Baldwin Street CRC, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. Per CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks will be required.  A private family committal service will be held at Winchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Faith Hospice-Trillium Woods.
