Bode, Jean Ellen Jean Ellen Bode, age 87, of Wyoming, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.  She had a strong faith and a deep love for her family.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were especially very dear to her.  Jean had a gift of hospitality always putting others before herself.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elmer Bode and her brother, Don Wondergem.   She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Phil and Laura Bode, John and Jan VanderVeen, Bill and Carole Weaver, Ron and Teresa Bode, Brian and Kathy Jansma; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth and Lew Bos, Kay Kalkofen; sister-in-law, Mary Wondergem; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jay Bode, Harold and Helen Bode, Pearl Koetje; dear friend, Marge Dornbos; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 am at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center, Wyoming with Rev. Roger Groenboom and Rev. Joshua Bode officiating.   Interment Blain Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Friday from 10-11 am at church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired or World Renew.
