SWANSON - Mr. Jason A. Swanson, aged 41 of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deb Muller. Surviving are his wife, Sue; son, Cameron; father, Bob (Denise) Swanson; brothers, Aaron Swanson, Ian Swanson, Bram Swanson; sisters, Ariel Swanson, Allegra Swanson; stepfather, Glenn Muller; grandmothers, Audrey Scalice and Regina Swanson; Sue's parents, Dianne Martinez-Balent and Paul C. (Maureen) Sweet; brother and sisters-in-law, James (Elizabeth) Sweet, Theresa Sweet; many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Jason was a member of the Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians and a board member of the Grand Rapids Community Relations Commission. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, February 11 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. The family will greet relatives and friends Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. Interment Bradley Indian Mission Cemetery.
