Gonzalez Hernandez - Jasmine Thalia Gonzalez Hernandez aged 14 of Rockford, MI passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Maria Hinojosa Lozano, Juan (Julia) Gonzalez, Betty "Nana" Welsh, Elgin "Buddy" McConnon. Jasmine is survived by her mother, Martha (Leo) Hernandez Reyes; father, Jose (Nicole) Gonzalez Jr.; brothers, Geovanny Ibarra Hernandez, Jacob Gonzalez, Joseph Gonzalez; sister, Natalie Gonzalez; grandparents, Graciela Reyes Hinojosa, Juan Hernandez Morales, Jose (Mona) Gonzalez Sr. and Lynne McConnon; great grandmother, Joan McConnon. Jasmine attended Rockford Middle School where she was on the swim and dive team. Jasmine had a passion for being outdoors. She was an avid swimmer, loved to ride her jet ski, quad and anything that went fast. Jasmine also had a love for cosmetology and enjoyed doing her mother's nails and facials. Jasmine was full of joy and love and enjoyed spending her time with friends and family. Jasmine was extremely close to all of her cousins and they will deeply miss her silly yet motherly personality. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier 250 Brown St. SE, Grand Rapids. Jasmine's family will greet relatives and friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Tuesday July 21, and 1:00PM to 3:00PM and 5:00PM to 7:00PM Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - 1601 Post Dr. Belmont and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday. Prayers of the Rosary will be recited 6:30PM Wednesday.
