Jared Westervelt

Jared Adam Westervelt (AKA JW), age 22, of Jenison, went to be with Jesus on Friday, August 30, 2019. Jared was a master of film, a writer and published author. Jared brought happiness to everyone he met, especially as a barista when serving coffee at the Jenison Kids First Coffee Shop. He is joined by his grandparents, four uncles and two cousins in Heaven. He will be forever loved and honored by his parents, Lee and Ann Westervelt; brother, Jake and sister-in-law, Colleen Westervelt, along with their children, Callista and Danny; sister, Jenny Westervelt and brother-in-law, Woody Johnson. Jared was loved by all of his many extended family members and knew he was loved by them as well. Everyone that met Jared was considered his friend. Jared was genuine, generous, honest and happy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Pointe, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Joel Wayne officiating. Visitation time begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in Chapel Pointe’s Cafe. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in honor of Jared. Envelopes will be available at the visitation and the service for charities close to the family’s hearts.

Personally I never met jared, but I have been friends with him on facebook, we were online friends and we became friends because of the common interests in dinosaurs as well as jurassic park film series, he was highly influenced by jurassic world series and his favourite actor was irrfan Khan he once said me that dinosaurs make him happy, I pray to god that may his pure soul rest in peace. Dear Lee and Ann, God knew your precious son would be here on earth for only 22 short years before calling him home to be with Him in Heaven. Echoing what has already been said: last school year, my kids and I stopped regularly to order coffee and hot cocoa from Jared. All this time I had no idea that he was Lee's son. He filled the air with so much humor and conversation of dinosaurs, jurassic park, and friendly reminders of how to be safe while taking our super hot drinks. This is a shock and a huge loss. We are so very sorry. We will continue to lift your family in prayer. He truly did make our mornings brighter.
