Jaqueline Koetje

Jacqueline Jean Koetje, age 79, of Allendale, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 21, 2020. She was preceded in death by her son, Daryl Koetje. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Harvey; children, Diana and Jim Overweg, Nancy and Dan Dyke, David Koetje; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren with one due in January; sisters, Christine and John Bosma, Evelyn and Ken Stoffer, Winifred and Dale Zimmerle, Hennie and Frank Brooke, Marcia and Bill Godisak; brothers-in-law, Marv and Sharon Koetje, Rog and Eva Koetje; sister-in-law, Linda Koetje; and many nieces and nephews. She loved her family and her church, and her many friends. A private burial was held at Rusk Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held later in the spring of 2021. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.

I have many great memories of working closely with Harv during the years we were in the same buying group at Meijer. There were also many wonderful times spent with Jackie at various social events including Christmas dinners when we all got together along with our wives and West Michigan Marketing Association events. In fact I was just recently telling my kids about our epic holiday dinners hosted by Bob Barrett who, sadly, is no longer alive. Those memories of Harv and Jackie will never fade.
