Janis F. Qualls

Janis Fay Marie Qualls, age 68 of Grand Rapids, died peacefully Tuesday, July 19, 2016, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, James “Jabo” H. Qualls Jr., brothers, Clarence and Michael Handley. She will be greatly missed by her children, Gary Paul (Lana) Qualls, Joanna (Robert) Copeland, Teena Deann Qualls; grandchildren, Gary Jr. ”Bubba” (Daysha), Casey (Taylor), Leslie (Jason), John (Chelsea), Brittany; great-grandchildren, Elena, Jalie, Ella Mae, Emmelynn, Harlee, Gary “Trey” III, Bayleigh, Jade. A private family burial will take place in Arkansas at a later date. Honoring her great-granddaughter, Jalie, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

I met Nana once when she visited Texas. I wish I could have got to know her better. She was so sweet to me and it was obvious her kids and grandkids were her world. Love to our family in Michigan. I have and will continue to pray for comfort through this hard time.
