Janet S. Nordyke

Janet S. Nordyke, age 69, of Jenison, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016. She was born on November 27, 1946 to E. Joseph and Evelyn Post. Janet was a 1965 graduate of Grand Rapids Catholic Central and a drum majorette. She retired from Consumer’s Energy to spend many happy years with friends and her husband. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 ½ years, Carleton Nordyke; stepchildren, Sheila Lukens, Steven Nordyke, Spencer and Cyndy Nordyke, Shelley Alverez, Scott and Mayumi Nordyke; her precious dog, Ruby Begonia; sister, Judy Manning; brother, Jeff Post. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 2:00 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Spencer Nordyke officiating. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Paws With A Cause. Janet will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was perfect. Her husband loved her very much.

Janet was a beautiful lady that was caring and made life very special with her joy and her caring of the little things in life like enjoying chocolate cupcakes.
