Jane Gertrude Ritsema

Jane Gertrude (Natte) Ritsema, age 95, of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2014.  Jane was employed at the CRWRC, as an executive secretary, for 23 years.  She also volunteered making needed items for Love INC. She was a Sunday school teacher and church secretary.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ritsema; grandchildren, James E., Kyle A., and Teressa; sisters, Lena Sytsema, Jo VanderHyde, Pearl Klap and Gertrude Meyer; brothers, Cornelius Meyer, Gerrit, Hubert and Richard Natte.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dr. James (Esther) Ritsema, Gordon (Drynda) Ritsema,  Rev. Robert (Cheryl) Ritsema, Rev. John (Cindy) Ritsema, Calvin (Ruth) Ritsema; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; sister, Julia (Frank) Nyholt; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Ritsema,  Donna Natte; former daughters-in-law, Kathy Aalderink and Karen Slopsema; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Rev. Robert Ritsema and Rev. John Ritsema officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to World Renew (CRWRC), James E. Ritsema Missionary Scholarship at Kuyper College or Love INC.
