Jan Rykse

Jan Ellen Rykse, age 61, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eleanor McAlary; her fiance, Jeff Peavy. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Rob (Andrea) Rykse, Shawn (Melissa) Rykse; granddaughters, Ashlee, Rilee, Hailee, Paislee, Abigail, Raegan; sisters, Debbie (Roger) Hoffman, Patricia (Ray) Zuidema, Kimberly (Leonard) Fearson; and many nieces and nephews. Jan was a loving mother, grandmother, and “neighborhood mother” who will be dearly missed by all. A memorial visitation where friends and relatives may come to celebrate Jan’s life will be held on Sunday, September 27, from 2 to 6 pm in the MKD Reception and Event Center, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Due to gathering restrictions, there will be a limit on the number of people who may enter the building at a time. Burial Rosedale Memorial Park.

I just heard today of Jan's passing and send my deepest sympathies to her family. Jan has played in my pool league since 2003. She has made many friends in the APA over the years and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of playing both with and against her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
