Jan Marie Van Sickle

Jan VanSickle, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born and raised in Wyoming and graduated from Lee High School. She worked for the federal court system, which transferred her to Washington State for a few years. She later moved on an adventure to Alaska, where she held many interesting jobs. She moved back to West Michigan to care for her parents, and that is where she met her beloved husband, Rick. She enjoyed life and being with her grandchildren, especially. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 21 years, Rick; stepchildren: Rachel (Jesse) Hillman, Kelly (Mark) VanDyke; step-grandchildren: Ambrose, Alex, Athen, Jonah, Elliana; brothers, Hook (Carol) Hoogstra, Bob (Denise) Hoogstra; feline companion, Woody; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Phyllis Hoogstra. Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at  Ada Bible Church (Kentwood Campus), 2045 68th St, SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Vic Willis officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
