Knoppers, Jan Jan Marinus Knoppers, age 83, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.  He was born October 13, 1931 in Zeist,  Netherlands to Jan and Maria Knoppers.  Jan was preceded in death by Ali, his wife of 52 years.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jane and Brent Cottingham (Michael, Rob), Maria Knoppers, Rebecca and Jim Ver Hoef (Kyle and Marissa, Chris, Erik, Luke), John and Sherry Knoppers (Landon, Logan).   A celebration of Jan’s life will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at 2nd Allendale Christian Reformed Church, 6950 Lake Michigan Dr. with Rev. Harold Veldman officiating.  A private family burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery prior to the service. Relatives and friends may meet with family on Sunday, October 19, from 2-5 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. 49401.
