WESTVEER - James "Jim" John Westveer passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, Dan Westveer; sisters, Phyllis Farrell and Marlene O'Rouke. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maryellen; children, Colleen (Steve) Elkins, Jane (Mike) Patterson, Amy (John) Darling; grandchildren, Marie (Mike) Ryan, Patrick (Staci) Elkins, Michael (Ellen) Elkins, Michael (Jenny) Patterson, Maggie Patterson, Haley Patterson, Will Darling, Claire Darling, Jack Darling; great grandchildren, Nate, Alana, Erin, Whilamina; sisters, Terese Shattuck, Ann (Dave) Browning; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Trudy) Kelly, Elaine Wood, Pat (Adelynne) Kelly, Dave (Mary) Kelly, Sally (Buck) Peters, Kathleen (Don) Johnson, Tim (Sis) Kelly. Jim retired from Amway; previously he worked at Steketees as director of M.I.S. He was a former president of The Bostwick Lake Improvement Association. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:15 AM Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4351 Parnell Ave. NE, Ada. The family will greet relatives and friends 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday May 25 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE with prayers of the rosary recited at 7:30 PM.
