James Tombs

James Allen Tombs, age 82, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, surrounded by his family. He proudly served in the US Navy. He was working for Design Underwriting for many years. Jim loved woodworking, and most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Delores; children: Jim Jr. (Tammy) Tombs, Merri Carpenter, Ann (Dan Porter) Parker; grandchildren: Chris (Emily) Tombs, Amber (Patrick) Carr, Jessica (Shane) Vandeventer, Craig (Amanda) Carpenter, Steven (Christina) Parker, Andrew Parker, Ryan (John Bylsma) Tombs; great grandchildren: Alexis, Mercedes, Camry, Allianna, Lincoln, Noah, Myra. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Balcom Cemetery in Ionia, Michigan at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Heart Association.
