James Paul Garbow

James Paul Garbow, age 69, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Starr Garbow and her fiancé, Darren McKinstry; granddaughter, Oakley; sisters, Susan and Kris Garbow; brother, Tom Garbow; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Barbara Garbow; and his brother, Mark Garbow. Jim worked for Steelcase for over thirty years as a truck driver. His passions were fishing on Lake Michigan with his best friend; Jim DeZeeuw, deer hunting, whittling wood in his garage, watching all the wild animals come into his yard, loved telling jokes, and would help anyone in need. A celebration of life for Jim will be held at a later date. Please look to MKD’s website in the future for service details. Per Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and for those who would like to make a memorial contribution you can donate to a charity of one’s choosing.

Jim, you were a good friend, I remember the ride alongs you gave me to get me out of the office, the fun we had in dispatch. The times you allowed me to visit to escape my sisters visits. You had a good heart. You were a kind man. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed. Diane

Thank you for being a big brother I needed. You were there for me when I needed a friend, when I needed an ear to listen, when something would not start, when I needed a laugh and even when I needed a shoulder to cry on. I miss you all ready. By the way, thanks for leaving all the responsibility to me to feed your turkey, deer, squirrels, etc... Until we meet again my friend.
