James B. Nysse, age 71, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Nysse. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, of 51 years, Jan Nysse; children and grandchildren, Jason and Kristin Nysse (Jacob, Jeremiah, Levi, and baby due in August), Jeff and Tami Nysse (Austen, Alayna), Joel and Laura Nysse (Drew, Beau, Myles); siblings, Pat Nysse, Jon and Barb Nysse, Jude Nysse, Scott Nysse; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Sharon Toering, Linda Nysse; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone United Reformed Church, 6442 36th Ave., Hudsonville, with Pastor Philip Vos officiating. The burial will take place at Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday, January 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School or Zion Christian School.
