James Louis Hanna

Hanna – James Louis Hanna, age 83, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ella May Comella. James is survived by his children, Terry (Bill) Vandermeer, Jamie (Rick) Silloway, Timothy Hanna, Shawn (Denise) Hanna; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; longtime partner, Shirley Visser.

For many years, James & Shirley enjoyed traveling around the country, stopping at antique shops and the Antique Engine and Tractor Show in Geneseo, Illinois. He also liked to fish with his buddy, Ovil. James loved horses and was thrilled to share his passion with his granddaughter. He was a gifted machinist and was talented at working with his hands.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. John Paul II Catholic Parish, 3110 17 Mile Rd. NE, Cedar Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Paul II Church.
