James Leroy Adrianse

James L. Adrianse, age 81, of Rockford, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 27 th, 2021. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by his wife, of 58 years, Grace; brother, Ken (Ann) Adrianse, children, Ruth (Gary) Rounds, John (Valerie) Adrianse; grandchildren, Rachel (Jonathon) Lubow, Daniel (Karys) Rounds, Jakob, Grant and Maliha Adrianse; and great-grandchildren, Samuel, Ella and Caleb. Jim will be remembered for his love for the Lord and his family, his adventurous spirit, his sense of humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand to others. He enjoyed anything mechanical and used his skills to help others by doing missions work with Grace. Jim served in various capacities at a variety of ministries over 50 times in 12 states and 2 other countries. He also was an avid history enthusiast and spent a great deal of time researching and writing the family genealogy. Over the years he compiled family information going back to the 1300’s. He was always interested in generational faith and was thrilled to note that when his first great-grandchild was born that he was at least the 14th generation of his family to be brought up in a Christian home. Jim truly believed that God is faithful through the generations. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30th, 2021, 11:00 am at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Interment at Ada Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday July 29 from 6-8 pm at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE Belmont, MI 49306.
