James L. Mac Owan, Jr., age 82, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Laurel; children, Barbara and Jim Wood, Amy Mac Owan and Tim Maynard, Jim and Tanya Mac Owan; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Terry and Dave Moore, Sherry and Terry Shank, Gord and Carol Mac Owan, Bonnie Koopman; sister-in-law, Leah Walcot; nephews, Tom Lumberg, Brian and Chelle Lumberg. James was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Mac Owan. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from General Motors after twenty plus years. He loved doing volunteer work at the senior center and at Res Life Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Resurrection Life Church, 3777 Ivanrest Ave. SW with Pastor Pat Binish officiating. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service from 10-11am.
