James A. Everett, Sr. age 80, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jim and Tricia Everett, Jeff and Christine Everett; grandchildren, James, Ashley, Joshua, Cory, Nate, Zach; one great-granddaughter, Savannah; brother, Robert and Carol Everett; sister-in-law, Lorie Thompson; adopted daughter, Carole Cruickshank; several nieces and nephews. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Samaritan’s Carriage or Faith Hospice.

I'll never forget Jim and Linda. To this day, I can still picture them together at the Van Andel Arena as two of my favorite regulars inside the restaurant. Linda would be waiting for Jim because he was parking the car but she would still order what they always ordered - but the fries had better be cooked! Both of them were so down to earth and just kind people. Did I ever mention when Linda bought me pepper spray as a Christmas gift years ago? I'll never forget them and it makes me happy to know they are now together again. My condolences to you and your family.
