James D. Nardin

James Duanne Nardin, age 81, of Jenison, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Jim went to heaven to be with Jesus on His Birthday! He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Diane (nee Poelman); children, Kathi and Lee Kent, Steve Nardin, Karyn and Chris Midgely, Mark and Jennifer Nardin; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Jim valiantly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a helper to everyone and loved to serve his church, neighborhood, and Sandy Pines families. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin St., Hudsonville with Pastor Tom Elenbaas officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 6-8 pm at Fair Haven Church (please use either Door A or E) on Sunday and 11:00 to 11:45 am on Monday prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hand2Hand.

I loved the guy and never forget. Jim was one of a kind. One is of my life's most colorful charactor. He taught me so much about life, love and giving back. I'd forward going to work when I worked with him. RIP Jim
