James Cain

James L. Cain, age 74, of Belmont, went to his heavenly home, Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bonnie, who was also his best friend and soul-mate; their son, Todd (Catherine) Cain; his children, Carla Fabbro, Scott (Mary) Cain, Russ Cain, and Mark (Jane) Cain; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Alvin (Bonnie) Cain, sister in law, Ginny Cain, Sharon (Doug) Lubbers; special cousins, who was more like brother and sister, Mart and Ester Remelts; his stepmother, Ruth Cain and his aunt, Bert Weemhoff. Jim was preceded by his son, Calvin Max Cain; his mother and stepfather, Fran and Neal Keegstra; his father, Orville Cain and his brother, Marty Cain. Jim was the former owner and operator of Cain's Painting and Decorating in Grand Rapids. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing Canasta. As an avid Nascar fan, Jim loved cars in general and knew all cars by sight. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 20 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont.
