James Bosma

James B. Bosma, age 69, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on February 19, 2022. James was born in Holland, MI to Robert and Aletta (Lohman) Bosma on October 8, 1952. He went to Unity Christian High School and graduated from Calvin College with a Business Administration degree. He worked for Meijer, Inc. for 34 years. He started as a bagger and held many positions including store manager. He also worked at Walgreens in Las Vegas for 8 years as an assistant store manager. James’ dream was to move to Las Vegas, and he fulfilled that dream. He loved to cook, read, and travel. But family was the most important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Colleen DeBack, Barbara Hoekstra; and brother-in-law, Jeffery Traudt. James is survived by his wife, Donna, who he married on November 7, 1975; children, Stacy (James) Allen of Midlothian, VA, Scott (Kristin) Bosma of Indianapolis, IN, and Stephanie (David) Hoyle of Chippewa Falls, WI; grandchildren, Lukas Bosma, Tyler Bosma, Hayley Hoyle, Brady Hoyle, and Delilah Allen; sisters, Joanne Bosma, and Betty (Jack) Houtman; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home.
