James B. Van Beek

James B. Van Beek, age 72, of Hudsonville passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 21, 2018, and is now home with Jesus. He joins his parents and other family who preceded him. Jim was a loving husband, dad and grandpa who treasured his family. Over the years, he enjoyed spending time traveling around the country. He was also blessed with the gift of cooking, sharing many delicious meals with those he loved. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Susan; children, Wendy and Jay Gunn, Pastor Craig and Laura Van Beek, Robert and Bambi Van Beek; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandra Paauwe, Mike and Mary Isaac, Joe Isaac; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Burnips United Methodist Church, 4241 30th Street, with Pastor Gary Zinger officiating. Interment Star Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, October 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and Thursday at the church from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
