James Arthur Bergenham

James Arthur Bergenham, age 82, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Sunday, April 14, 2024. He was born to David and Louise Bergenham on New Years Day, 1942. Jim proudly served in the US Army Security Agency. He was past president of the West Michigan chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He worked in IT for many years for NCR and Meijer and loved sharing developments in new technology with friends and family. Jim was mysterious, a joker, storyteller, outdoorsman, a “cold war spy”, historian, collector of all things cool, and protector of family history. Above all, Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Jill Bergenham; children, Stephan and Andrea Bergenham, Ken Bergenham and Crystal Rutherford; grandchildren, Abby Bergenham, Ericka Bergenham, Karl Bergenham; brother, Edward Bergenham; niece, Julia and Rob Davis; nephew, David Bergenham, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gabriele (Kraft) Bergenham who was the mother of his children. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
