Jaimes “Baj” Michael Ward

Jaimes “Baj” Michael Ward, aged 27 of Grand Rapids, passed unexpectedly into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his sister, Qwanda; grandma, Diane Carpenter; and great-grandparents, Melburn and Maxine Carpenter. Jaimes is survived by his mother, Valerie (Timothy) Lee; brother, Jeremy Ward; girlfriend, Jennifer Diederiks and her children, Jayla and Javid; grandpa, Roger Carpenter; aunts and uncles, Bev (Fred) Rittersdorf, Mert (Pat) Danielski, Jim (Donna) Carpenter, Melburn Carpenter Jr., Janet (Raymond) Benard, Melissa Carpenter, Danny (Jody) Carpenter, Chris (Kim) Carpenter, Tim (Pam) Carpenter, Aunt Rusty, Glenn (Sue) Carpenter; cousins, Roger, Casey, Tiffany, Morgan, Mandy, Tye, Heather; and many more family and friends. Jaimes was an employee at MBI Automotive. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Grace Fellowship Church, 735 Buth Drive NE, Comstock Park, with Pastor John Campbell officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. I'm not sure what happened to him but when I heard that he passed I lost it. He was a good friend of mine if anyone can lend me any information I would greatly appreciate it ... He will for sure be missed such an amazing friend was always there to lend an ear or a hand when needed never asked for anything in return.

Not sure what to say at this time of your loss as you were taken away so sudden and yet so young I do want you to know it was a pleasure gettin to know and work with you. I'm not ready for this but it gets more real every day. My heart is broken that this young man was taken from this world so early. He was so willing to give his time and energy to help people, even if he didn't know them very well. I never saw a kid who didn't love him on first sight. He was always the one to reach out and ask questions and actually CARE about people. My deepest condolences are with his family. I know he will be remembered at every holiday, every birthday, and every day in between.
