Jacob Broersma

Jacob Broersma, age 87, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2015. He grew up in the Chicago area and raised his family there. After retiring as a meat cutter, he and his wife moved to Jenison. He honored God and blessed many people through his singing and volunteering in Jesus name. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eleanor Broersma; children, Sue and Cor Pasveer of Alberta, Donna and Wade Cory of NJ, Jane and Jack Nyenhuis of Jenison, Bill and Denise Broersma of AZ; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11:00 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Doug Fauble officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to World Renew.

Visiting Uncle Jake and Auntie Eleanor's house was always one of my favorites as a child. There was always so much love and fun in their presence! Praying for peace for all of the family during these upcoming days, and waiting expectantly for the day when we will all be reunited with our Heavenly Father.
