Jack Van Til

Jack Van Til, age 73, of Wyoming, took God’s hand and was peacefully led home on Sunday, July 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Van Til and Glenn Van Til; and sister, Nancy Wynsma. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Lois Van Til; children, Jack and Diane Van Til, Jill and Jesse Hecksel; 2 grandsons, Bryan Van Til and James Hecksel; brother, Clarence (Marilyn) Van Til; sisters, Barbara Haveman and Angela (Harry) Basore; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1934 Bridge St. NW, Grand Rapids with Rev. Bob Bond officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
