Jack Van Setters

Van Setters – Jack Edward Van Setters, age 92, went to heaven to be with his Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020.  He was a wonderful husband to Luci for 71 years and 4 months.  Jack and Luci have 4 children:  Jane (Chuck), Jim (Rebecca), Beth (Bob), and Dave (Sue); 27 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild with 1 on the way.  Jack was a friend to many and loved Jesus.  He served in the Marine Corps during WW II.  He enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful pieces, but Jack’s main love was fishing.  He could sit for hours and tell stories about Sugar Island.   In remembering Jack’s life, we are comforted by John 5:24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

Private funeral services will be held due to Covid restrictions.  The service will be livestreamed on Monday morning December 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM.  Please visit www.rockfordsprings.org and scroll down to the Jack Van Setters Funeral banner to watch the funeral service.  At the conclusion of the service, Jack will be honored for his time in the service with military honors under the direction of the United States Marine Corps.
