Jack Terpstra

Jack Terpstra, age 89, of Grandville, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Jack was a faithful, selfless, and amazing man of God. Jack enjoyed spending time through the years woodworking, golfing, playing softball, and photography. He served in his church and especially enjoyed helping the cadet group. His favorite scripture verse was found in 3 John v 4. He spent countless hours watching and playing with the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, James Borst; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and MaryLynne Terpstra; and sister-in-law, Linda Duell. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 71 years, Norma; children, Harry and Jacqueline Terpstra, Robert and Marilyn Terpstra, Sharon and David Gort, Diane Borst, Marcia Terpstra, Jeffery and Katherine Terpstra, Doug and Shelly Terpstra; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Al Bytwork, brother-in-law, Robert Duell; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Grandville Cemetery on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 1 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Grandville Bible Church Missionary Fund.

Jack and Norma were my shut-ins and I would come and visit with them. Our visits were fun and has meant so much to me and my Ministry. Know that Jack no longer is sick or suffering! You will see him again, amen!
