Jack Ripstra

Jack "Grumps" D. Ripstra age 89 passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 under the loving care of Hospice and Marywood Health Center. Jack is now at peace in heaven with his wife, Jo, who preceded him in death. Surviving are his children, Jack L. Ripstra, Katie & Mark DeGoede, Nancy L. Ripstra and Mary K. Ripstra; grandchildren, Trevor and Amanda, Cam & Chelsey, Tracy and Tonya and great granddaughters, Allison and Anna. Donald "Duck" Hall, his best friend for over 85 years also survives Jack. Canyon the Lab and Horton the Jack Russell Terrier have provided many hours of companionship to Jack over his last years. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday April 8, 2017 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE., Belmont, MI 49036. The family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions in Jack's memory may be made to Spectrum Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
