​Jack Richard Duimstra, age 84, loving husband and father went into the loving arms of Jesus in Glory on November 21, 2023. Jack was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and taught his children and family to love the Lord Jesus Christ. He professed his faith by his words and his actions. He loved his children and grandchildren and always wanted to be surrounded by his family. He was a proud Army veteran who served from 1958-1960. Jack worked as a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and made many friends throughout those years. Jack was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Duimstra; two sisters, Patricia Orzula, and Evie Plummer; and his brother, Charles Duimstra. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Duimstra; six children, Kimberly and Thomas Walcott, Jack Jr. and Cindy Duimstra, Terry and Molly Duimstra, Brian Duimstra, Curt Duimstra, Scott and Stephanie Duimstra; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Butch and Pat Duimstra; brother-in-law, Art and Ger Orzula. A gathering to celebrate Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 11 am - 1pm at Ivanrest Christian Reformed Church, 3777 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville. A private family service will be held. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grandville Calvin Christian School or Ivanrest Christian Reformed Church.
