Jack Michael Ossewaarde, age 60, of Allendale, went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 11, 2022, after a four-and-a-half-year battle with glioblastoma. Jack was a devoted father and husband. He loved spending time with his family and cherished special vacations together. He was always keeping himself busy with projects or working to provide for his family. Jack loved the outdoors, camping, and hunting and spent several years assisting his children with their 4-H. Although he will be greatly missed, we will cherish the many memories of him along life’s journey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and sister-in-law, Sheila Potgeter. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Sharon; children, Brenda (Ben) Miles, Jennifer Ossewaarde, John Ossewaarde; grandchildren, Makayla, and Maci Miles; parents, John (Joyce) Ossewaarde; siblings, Jim Ossewaarde, Jan (Russ) Ooms, Joan (Jamie) Bolen; parents-in-law, Al (Mae) Eaton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike Potgeter, Amy (Brian) McMurray, Dennis (Kim) Eaton, Robin (Mark) Twiest; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Spring Valley Church, 5947 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale with Pastor Rob Wondergem officiating. Burial Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 11-1:00 at the church prior to the service.
