Jack Hudson Holtvluwer, age 70, of Rockford, went with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to his heavenly home on Monday, September 11, 2023. Whether it was strolling through his colorful gardens, fishing on a secluded Michigan lake, or simply sitting by a warm campfire in his backyard, Jack loved the peace and serenity that God’s nature provided. But most importantly, he will be remembered for his devotion to his faith and family. Jack was a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hudson and Ernestine. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Suzanne; children, Nick and Jen Holtvluwer, Nate and Brooke Holtvluwer, Emily and Ben Mathew; and his dearly loved grandchildren, Hudson, Elaina, Luke, Ava, Chase, Knox, Zeke, and Elliott; sisters, Nancy and Luanne; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont with Pastor Andy Austin officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 15 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
