Isabell Marietta Martinez Flores

Isabell Marietta ‘Pollie’ Martinez Flores passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side and was received into heaven on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Isabell was one of 16 children, and born on March 10th, 1939 in Saginaw Michigan, and was a devout catholic, who spent time at St. Joseph Parish and at St. Simon and St Jude Church. Isabell loved going to bingo, playing cards with her family (often winning), and taking occasional trips to the casino. She enjoyed wearing beautiful jewelry and adding a little sparkle to her outfits. Isabell was preceded in death by her husband, Armando Flores; parents, Ausencio and Simona Martinez. Isabell was also preceded in death by her siblings, Louie Martinez, Paul Martinez, Candelario ‘Lyle’ Martinez, Marcos Martinez, Antonio ‘Tony’ Martinez, Dominga ‘Minnie’ Martinez, Juantia ‘Cruz’ Guerra, Beatrice ‘Mart’ Rivera; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rose Martinez, Jimmy Castillo, Manuel Guerra, Joe Rivera, Albert Romo, Darryl Sthrol, and Harvy Kliminski. Isabell will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Melissa, Armand (Kim), and Elizabeth Flores, and Carmond (Tim) Flores Short; grandchildren, Alonzo, Alexis, Angel, Alcario, Melissa, Kristie, Armando, Lyle, Emilio, Natalie, Nathanial, Natasha, Simona, Elizabeth, Juan-Diego, Timothy, Isaiah; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Ausencio ‘Dolly’ Martinez, Petra Romo, Alejandra ‘Hana’ Sthrol, Lena Kliminski, Mary ‘Benito’ Jimenez, Theresa ‘Cava’ Martinez, and Catherine ‘Boogie’ Martinez; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 am on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Resurrection Life Church, 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Tony Hall officiating. Burial Blain Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family for a public viewing on Tuesday from 10-11am at church.
