Irwin Dale Boersema

Irwin Dale Boersema, age 79, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Monday, January 23, 2017, and is now singing God’s praises in Heaven.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey; step-sons, Michael VanIwaarden and Steven Hoffman. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marianne (Hoffman) Boersema; children, Michelle and Kevin Crossman, Lynnel and Terry Prins, Gregg Boersema, Brett Boersema, Dale and Sherry Leensvaart, Ronald Hoffman, Cathy VanIwaarden and Bill Nyland, Jeffrey and Mary Claire Grooters; many grandchildren; brother, Les and Bev Boersema; mother of his children, Carol Vanderschuur. Irwin sang with the King’s Messengers Gospel Quartet for 25 years and he was an avid golfer.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am at Messiah Christian Reformed Church, 2900 Springdale, Hudsonville, with Rev. Nate Meldrim officiating.  Interment Rusk Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 5:30-8 pm at Messiah Christian Reformed Church and on Thursday from 10-10:45 am at church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
