Irene Ruth Beld, age 93, of Hudsonville, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Lester E.; son, Jack Allen Beld; grandson, Casey Jack Piers; and sister, Wilma Beld. She will be dearly missed by her children, Lester L. (Diane) Beld, Sherry (Stan) Lewis, Dan (Shelly) Beld, Gary (Rhonda) Beld, Karen Beld-Wood, Sue (Don) Piers, Jane Sterk, June (Martin) Faber, Ken (Julie) Beld; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Betty Aylworth; and many nieces and nephews. Irene was a courageous, loyal, hardworking mom.  Her life was guided by her faith in God and the love she had for her family. Irene gave 30 plus years of service at Hudsonville Nursing Home and also at Sheldon Meadows Living Center. She enjoyed Monday morning coffee at the Rainbow Grill with her friends from church. Irene’s family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Sheldon Meadows Living Center for their loving care. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. at South Blendon Reformed Church, 4817 Port Sheldon St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Gary Jarvis officiating.  Interment will be held at Blendon Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville.  An additional visitation will be held on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to South Blendon Reformed Church - Youth Mission Fund.
