My prayers are with the Popma Family at the passing of Irene.
Irene & Harold welcomed me to Holy Name Parish, my first assignment as a newly ordained priest, in 1977.
They were devoted to faith and family and I appreciate their many kindnesses to me.
Eternal rest grant to them, Lord.

I knew and admired both Harold and Irene Popma back in the years at Holy Name Church.
I also was happy to have visited them at their cottage many years ago.
They were a fine family oriented couple. They were a perfect example of their Catholic Faith.
We will miss them.
