Sheridan, Ione L. Ione L. (Johnson) Sheridan, age 84, of Allendale, passed peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2015.  In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker, Ione was a cook at GVSU for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Violet Janes, Ardis Schmidt, Patsy Schippers; and brother, Timothy Johnson.  She will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, Donald Sheridan; children, Larry E. (Gail) Sheridan of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Beth M. (Harry) Smith of Allendale, MaryJo (Rich) Conant of Holland; grandchildren, Laurence, Josh, Kylle, Ben, Courtney, and April; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Ted (Marie) Johnson of Spring Lake; brother-in-law, Robert (Betty) Sheridan; sisters-in-law, Donna Laug, Shirley (Earl) Ralya, Linda Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 9628 48th Avenue, Jenison, with Rev. James Metcalf officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott Street, Allendale.  The family wishes to thank Tina from Spectrum Health Visiting Nurse Association, “you are an angel”; and also the staff at Allendale Nursing and Rehabilitation Community and Fountain View Assisted Living of Coopersville.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sheridan Fund at St. John Lutheran Church or the Reister Scholarship Fund at GVSU.
