Ila Kunnen

Ila Mae (Borgerding) Kunnen, age 86, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 9, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bernie Kunnen; granddaughter, Kara; son-in-law, AJ Smith; brother-in-law, Trube Kunnen. She will be remembered with love by her children, Kevin and Barb Kunnen, Karl and Jan Kunnen, Kristin Smith, Kurt and Tracie Kunnen, Kyle and Becca Kunnen; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; 1 step great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Phil and Joanne Borgerding, C. Jay Borgerding; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cal and Thelma Kunnen, Esther Kunnen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11 am at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Pastor Don Van Slyke officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, May 19, from 2-6 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.
