Ida Arlene Luke, age 91, of Grand Rapids, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, after a long battle with Parkinson’s and dementia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Luke; siblings, John and Eleanor. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Chris (John, deceased) Koryto, Carolyn Richardson, Robert C. Luke, Kathleen (Harold) Drews; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. Arlene was a warm, caring, loving, mom and grandma. Her passion was painting and charcoal drawings when she was able. She was an avid sports fan of her children’s and grandchildren’s athletic activities and sporting events on TV. Go Red Wings!!  Arlene loved doing crossword puzzles and feeding and watching the birds. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church (Caledonia) 9669 Kraft Ave. SE., with Rev. Stephen Durkee officiating. Interment White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI at a later date. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am at Holy Family Church. The family requests donations be made to Faith Hospice, Pilgrim Manor, or the Dementia Society of America in lieu of flowers.
