Howard Dilsworth

Howard Ivan Dilsworth, 83, of Allendale, Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, May 6, 2022. He was born June 2, 1938, in Owosso, Michigan, to Orill and Lucille (Kennett) Dilsworth. Howard graduated from Ithaca High School (1956) and Michigan State University (1961). He retired from General Motors/EDS in Lansing (1996). Howard is survived by his wife, Karen (Sampson); his daughters, Anne Clemens, and Dr. Sue Dilsworth (Dr. Angela Tiberio); brother, Keith Dilsworth (Serenity); sisters-in-law, Judy Dilsworth, and Kathleen Simcox (Ray); grandchildren, Samuel Clemens, Sean Clemens, and Katherine Clemens; and many cousins, nieces and a nephew. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy; and brother, Richard. Howard was a devoted husband, father, friend and loyal MSU basketball fan. He was passionate about golf, gardening, and making homemade candy for family and friends during the holidays. His unconditional love and kindness was felt by many. He will be dearly missed. No services are planned at this time. In Howard’s memory, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
