Remembering Howard Allen Scholten

Scholten, Howard Allen Howard Allen Scholten, age 68, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 21, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Scholten, Sr. and an infant son.  His memory will be cherished by his wife of 44 years, Sonie; their children, Chad and Kelly Scholten, Christopher and Nichol Scholten, James and Lindsay Scholten, Susan and Colin Fenton; 5 grandchildren; mother, Gertie Scholten; sister, Glenda Grassmid; brothers, Dr. Don Scholten, John Scholten, Jr., Roger Scholten and their spouses; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Howard proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked as an accountant for HH Cutler and then Hart & Cooley for over 39 years.  He had made many friends over the years and will be dearly missed.  Memorial services will be held Wednesday 7 pm at Spring Valley Church, 5947 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the church and on Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 at the church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.
