Holly Marie Tacoma

Holly Marie Tacoma, age 53 of Grandville, Michigan passed away at her home on September 19th after a long 4-year battle with cancer.

Holly was born April 6, 1970 to Stephen and Roberta Kitchens and is predeceased by her father.

She left behind her deeply loved family, her husband of 30 years, Jon Tacoma, their daughter Alexa and their son Jaron. Also surviving are her mother, sisters Stacey (John) Carlson and Amanda (John) Hancock as well as her nieces and nephews, Spencer, Sara, Elizabeth, and John Patrick.

Holly had many jobs over the years, she worked as a preschool teacher, a radio host, a worship leader, and an insurance agent. She saw each job as an opportunity to share her care for all people.

Holly had a passion for singing and theater. She played parts in dozens of school plays and local theater productions. Her voice was beautiful, and her children have fond memories of singing together at bedtime and on road trips. She was quick to burst into song and you couldn’t help but join her.

Holly always had an encouraging word or warm hug. She had a way of bringing people together and making them feel safe, seen and loved. Her courage and faith in the Heavenly Father was evident to anyone who knew her. We will forever miss her contagious laugh, her angelic voice, and the light she gave to those around her.
