Helmus, Herman HELMUS:  Herman Helmus, age 84, of Jenison, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 21, 2012.   He devoted his life to his Lord and his family.  He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 64 years, Edna; children, Larry Helmus and fiancé Gail Steensma, Sharon and Tim Steenland, Gary Helmus and Jon VanHaitsma; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister, Jenny Squires; sisters-in-law, Thelma McLaughlin, Marjorie Cornell; many nieces and nephews.    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive with Rev. Gary VanKoevering officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
