Herbert “Herb” Klomparens

Herbert “Herb” Dale Klomparens, age 85, of Hudsonville, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Herb was a kind and loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and great-great-grandpa who dearly loved his family. He was a man of quiet faith and was blessed with a strong work ethic. Over the years, he was an entrepreneur of many business ventures, and most recently operated Soft-N-Pure Water. Herb was a lifelong member of the North Blendon Christian Reformed Church where he served his Lord with his time and talents in various ways. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Klomparens; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Joan Dys; sister-in-law, Barb TerHaar. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Dys) Klomparens; children and grandchildren, Kim and Curt Elzinga (Brandon and Yvonne Elzinga, Tyler and Joanne Elzinga), Laurie and Al Overweg (Shanda and Kyle VandePol, Keala Overweg, Hailey and Andrew Brinks) Dawn and Dan Cooper (Derek and Carolyn Cooper, Kyle and Kree Cooper), Lanae and Felix Monera (Connor, Chase, and Addison Monera); 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sandy and John Driesenga, Bruce and Sharon Dys, Bob TerHaar, Esther Klomparens, Connie Dys; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor St., Hudsonville, with Rev. Aaron Vriesman officiating. The burial will be held at Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, June 7, from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Allendale Christian School.
