Henry Van Til

Henry Leonard (Stevens) Van Til, age 96, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Henry was a lifelong evangelist and praised the Lord in all that he did. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine; grandson, Timothy Van Til; daughter-in-law, Colleen “Kokie” Van Til; second wife, Clarissa; stepchildren, James and Shirley Van Drie, and Randall Van Drie; sisters and brother, Marian and Derwin DeJonge, Raymond and Faye Van Til, Helen Wolters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joan Kremers, Harm and Lois Kremers, Evelyn and Jack Sawyer. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon and David Lycklama, David and Darleen Van Til, Phillip and Nancy Van Til, James and Sharon Van Til, Mary and Dean Korhorn, Deborah and Ross Krikke; stepchildren, Douglas and Jan Van Drie, Raymond and Jan Van Drie, Mary and Todd Billin; stepdaughter-in-law, Amy Van Drie; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Paul Kremers, and Don and Ann Aardema; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. S.W. with Rev. Casey Freswick officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, October 2, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
