Henry Schuringa

Schuringa, Henry Henry Schuringa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the age of 85. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Winifred (neé De Vries); children: H. David (Mary) Schuringa, Ruth (Marc) Leestma, Mary (Michael) Wolff, and Mark (Pamela) Schuringa; 14 grandchildren: Gregory (Sarah) Schuringa, Lisa (Joel) Bosma, Rebecca (Jeff) Helmus, Timothy (Elizabeth) Schuringa, Ryan (Megan) Leestma, Aaron (Susan) Leestma, Isaac Leestma, Sasha Wolff, Silas (Christy) Wolff, Heidi (Joel) Weaver, Renae (Rob) Van Dyke, Karla (Brandon) Kane, Mark (Sherri) Schuringa, and Jason (Kristen) Schuringa; and 34 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wilhelmina De Bok and his great grandson, Jacob David Schuringa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Crossroad Bible Institute (2480 44th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512).
