Syswerda, Henry "Hank" SYSWERDA: Henry G. “Hank” Syswerda, age 86, of Jamestown, was called to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 and now joins his wife, Vera, who preceded him in 2011. He was also preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Emma Grayce. During WWII, Hank proudly served his country in the US Navy. As a tool and die maker for General Motors, he retired after over 41 years of faithful service. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Gail and Bruce McNally, Nancy Hansen, Gary and Kathy Syswerda; grandchildren, Kyle and Kristyn, Brad and Sara, and Robyn McNally, Sean and Lauren Hansen, Heather Martin, and Stephanie McPhail; great grandchildren, Autumn, Brooklyn, Taylor, and Andrea; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Charles Swanson, Betty Lou Goeman, Shirley and Gary Groenveld; sister-in-law, Pat Syswerda; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral services will be held 1 pm on Sunday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. with Rev. Stephen Hasper officiating. A graveside service will be held 11 am Monday at Jamestown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Saturday from 5-9 pm at the funeral home and 12-1 pm prior to the service.
