Henrietta Willemstyn

Henrietta Willemstyn of Jenison, Michigan passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021. She was born Henrietta VanderGalien in Randolph, Wisconsin on December 2, 1928; she was 93 years old. Henrietta was a cherished wife, mother and spiritual advisor to four children, ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Willemstyn, son-in-law, Phillip Elenbaas, and her adored and special granddaughter, Rebecca Elenbaas. Henrietta is survived and will be sadly missed by her four children: Laurie Elenbaas, Barb Haan, William Willemstyn II and Debra Van Deusen, and Ruth and Tom Jenson. In her lifetime Henrietta had many devoted friends who will also miss her energy, positivity, and loyalty. Henrietta was a lifelong birder with an impressive life-list; she was an avid reader and loved flowers. But most importantly, she was a spiritual mentor to many, her faith made her a positive force no matter the situation, she was kind and nurturing, and wise. She was a gift to all that knew her. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Dr., Jenison with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. Burial Georgetown Township Cemetery.
